CARGO PRE-SHIPMENT SURVEYS

- Holds & hatch covers visual inspection, including hatch covers water tightness test by hose test or ultrasonic test if required. If any deficiency is found during holds & hatch covers survey, the same is being advised to the Master for rectification before commencement of cargo loading operation. - Inspection at cargo stockyard if appropriate, visual inspection of the cargo & storage conditions. - Inspection on the cargo alongside the vessel, if any discrepancy is observed, the same is being advised to the Master before the cargo being loaded on board with discrepancies. - Assist the Master if the unsound cargo will be re-placed with sound ones, otherwise to issue discrepancy lists in daily basis. - Monitoring the whole course of cargo loading operation and establish the exact condition of the loaded cargo. - Monitoring lashing / securing & dunnaging operations - Assist the Master in clausing Mate’s Receipts & Bill of Ladings reflecting the actual condition of the loaded cargoes.
